Things that I have been immersed in for the past couple of weeks:
- Dance, obviously. Little birdies have told me that there are no solos and no intro packages in the finale tonight. It is wall-to-wall dancing and judging. However, some of the dances are supposed to be insanely spectacular, so I'll see if I can deal. Also a ton of SYTYCD ladies from the past three seasons (4, 5 and 6) will be back to dance with JLo.
- Bollywood movies. IDK either. Mmmm Abhishek Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan. Mmmmm Bipasha Basu and Preity Zinta. Om Shanti Om is fantastic on every level, even if a lot of the jokes rely on Bollywood references that I totally miss. Kabhi Alivda Naa Kehna has some misleadingly upbeat songs and 30th St Station standing in for a train station in NYC. Which can be disconcerting while you're watching the emotional climax of the movie.
- DCU comics. I REALLY DON'T KNOW. Wait, that is a lie. I know exactly what got me reading:
Close to Home by
iesika. 65,000 words of Kon starting an LGBT-rights club at school and having to be pretend boyfriends with Tim. I read some DCU fic waaaaay back in the day, maybe four years ago when I was bored and reading around Smallville fandom, as you do. But knowledge of canon is totally not necessary to enjoy this fic. Kon = Superboy, aka the clone son of Superman and Lex Luthor (NO REALLY) and Tim = Batman's third Robin. Ahh comics, your canon is crazy. And also clearly I am crazy for even trying to wade into this clusterfuck of continuity.
- Holiday shopping. I am more broke than usual and it is making shopping an adventure in discounts!
- Yuletide. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
- Not reading my flist. Because I am a terrible person, but I'm working on catching up. :D?
That about sums it up, I think. Oh and
this. Legacy is a man who knows what I like.
